The air pressure from the air compressor plays an important role in the speed and life of high speed dental handpiece. The air input into the high speed dental handpiece must be clean and dry, otherwise, the air pressure is too high, which will accelerate the bearing loss of the high speed dental handpiece; If it is too low, the high speed dental handpiece cannot operate. The driving pressure of high speed dental handpiece is required to be 0.21 ~ 0.23mpa.
Connect one end of the barometer to the high speed dental handpiece and the other end to the head of the high speed dental handpiece. Each barometer can measure the driving air pressure, water pressure and spray pressure respectively.
Loading and unloading the needle seems simple, but if the loading and unloading is not correct, it may damage the clamping shaft of the high speed dental handset, or it may cause the needle to loosen during rotation, endangering the safety of patients.
(1) Press-type high speed dental handpiece bur loading and unloading
Needle loading: press the needle loading button on the machine head with a strong and lasting force with the thumb of the right hand. Press to the bottom to fully open collets of high speed dental handpieces. Insert the needle with your left hand. After the needle is fully inserted, loosen your right thumb.
Then turn the needle to see if it is clamped firmly. If it is not pressed thoroughly, the needle cannot be fully inserted. When unloading the needle, press the head button with the same force. When the collet is completely released, the needle can be pulled out.
(2) Screw-type high speed dental handpiece needle loading and unloading
Needle loading: first insert the needle end of the collet of high speed dental handpiece into the groove of the needle unloader, then insert the square wrench of the needle unloader into the square hole at the screw end of the collet of high speed dental handpiece, rotate the wrench counterclockwise, open the collet of high speed dental handpiece, and insert the needle. Rotate the needle clockwise slightly.
Needle unloading: insert the pin end of the collet of the high speed dental handpiece into the needle groove, and insert the square wrench of the needle unloader into the square hole at the screw end of the collet of the high speed dental handpiece. Turn the wrench counterclockwise, open the collet of the mobile phone, and the needle can be pulled out.
(3) Use qualified needles
The collet of high speed dental handpiece has very strict requirements on the needle diameter. The needle must be 1.59 ~ 1.60mm. If the needle diameter is too small and the collet of high speed dental handpiece is not firmly clamped, it is easy to slip or loosen.
If the needle diameter is too large, the needle cannot be pulled out. Or the collet of high speed dental handpiece is damaged due to the use of too large diameter needle, and the needle cannot be clamped firmly. We must always check whether the needle is sharp. If the needle is blunt and the cutting slows down, it will inevitably induce the doctor to increase the pressure, and the dirty blood will enter the panel and foot brake, resulting in the inability of the machine to operate.
In order to prevent blood from entering the rack control panel and foot brake of high speed dental handpiece, the rack control panel and foot brake shall be protected with transparent film, and the protective film shall be replaced regularly.
